What To Do If You Find A Wild Animal

Saturday February 18th, 2 pm

Included with General Admission fees noted above

Dennis and Andrea Badke from Foxwood Raptor and Wildlife Rehabilitation Center will be discussing how tell if a wild animal actually does need help and what you can, should, and should not do to provide help if needed.

Handouts will include information for contacting agencies that can assist if help is needed.

They will also bring a few critters to visit with and share information about them and rehabilitation.

 

 

Nature Rocks Rock-Art

Saturday February 25th 2-4 pm

Included with general admission fee noted above

We will be making creations with stones. Projects may include painting stones, adding other decorations to stones, making 3-d pictures with stones, using stones in other 3-d crafts. Dress for gluing and painting.

 

 Worms are Healthy – For our soil

Saturday March 18th 1:30 pm

Jenna Wait with the Elkhart County Soil & Water Conservation District will be here with an interactive discussion & demonstration about how worms are beneficial for dirt quality.

 

Everyday is Earthday 

Saturday April 15th 1:30 – 4:30 pm

With the Annual Earthday approaching we will be making upcycled creations

Tuesday April 4, 2023 - Spring Break

 

Open Play time is time to discover, experience, and learn while having fun.  Kids 12 and under are required to bring an adult caregiver to connect with nature together. Enjoy the interactive natural history exhibits. We will have activities in the educational center. There are games, hands on activities, creative opportunities, a library to explore, and more.

However be sure to dress for the weather so you can also enjoy the wonders of nature on our trails and grounds.
